As a good deal of you have probably seen or noticed the new MAC palette that has been released somewhat recently. Its the large duo palette that enables you to place two inserts a person blush and shadow or even two blush inserts or simply two shadows. There was a considerable amount of talk on the Internet about for sure if this will be an awesome, must-have palette.
Im torn over the palette. If youre a facial foundation artist or student then it's a must-have palette for everyone. It will allow you to combine solutions into one or a couple palettes, depending on just how much make you have or take together with you. MAC also sells inserts to include foundation, concealer or lipsticks. It is a handy palette for that pros. But heres exactly where Im torn. MAC has become a company looking to distribute to the average cosmetic wearer. But after using these as news got around after filming my initially impressions video Im in no way too sure. Theyre so bulky in accordance with just one plastic covering up one side, your other products will be left a little un-protected if you leave them loose while in the palette and not with the insert.
Ive happen to be a MAC user for pretty much four years now and I need the old palettes. In truth, I miss the old 4-palette also that let you place the insert out allowing you to fit in that sixth shadow. Ive never had any difficulties with the old 15-palette with shadows falling out in clumps or breaking because the very packaging is much smaller sized. Yes, its nice to mix my makeup and go in one spot, but theres something which I just dont for example about these palettes.
You can still choose the single, large palette on MACs website if they become available. Youll also have the choice of choosing which insert you wish. The palette itself retails for $18 and also inserts are $9. The palettes are recommended and MAC was wise to create them, but I dont think Everyone loves them as much I thought I will.
Personally, I miss very first palette that had a solid black cover. You can pop out there the insert and put in far more and had the option to build your own labels and sticking the theifs to the lids. Plus these folks were much smaller and quicker to store. I understand why people like the clear lid and the popular larger palette; Ive just always preferred the first ones.
